Non-Credit: 12-Lead ECG Interpretation
Program Description
The Certificate of Completion in 12-Lead ECG Interpretation prepares paramedic students and other healthcare professionals for clinical practice by developing essential advanced ECG interpretation skills. Students will learn to accurately diagnose and manage life-threatening cardiac conditions, including myocardial infarctions, arrhythmias, and conduction abnormalities.

Program Learning Outcomes
- Graduates will be able to demonstrate proper lead placement technique and correctly identify cardiac rhythms on a 12-lead ECG.
- Graduates will be able to analyze and interpret ECG patterns associated with life-threatening conditions, including acute coronary syndromes and conduction abnormalities.
- Graduates will be able to distinguish myocardial infarction from non-cardiac ECG mimics and apply findings to clinical assessment and treatment planning.
