A Message from the President
Welcome to Foothill College!
I commend you for your commitment to your education during these challenging times. You’ve chosen to pursue your goals at a college that is nationally recognized for educational excellence and innovation. Many of our programs are among the highest-ranked in the nation. This is due to our dedicated faculty and staff and the extraordinary students who graduate each year.
Foothill College is more than academics. We recently completed our Strategic Vision for Equity, which lays out our college’s plan to dismantle oppressive systems (structural, cultural and individual) and create a college where success is not predictable by race. All our work across the college, from the classroom to student services, is in service of that vision.
Service leadership is one component of that plan. Service leadership at Foothill College helps students find their own voice and vision and build essential lifelong skills. Students are encouraged to get involved on campus, whether through student government or one of our many student clubs.
I hope you will get involved on campus and find your voice at Foothill College.
As your college president, I am eager to meet you in person, virtually, and via social media.
Thuy Thi Nguyen, J.D.
