Student Learning Outcomes

  • Design and practice sports fitness drills for increased strength.

Description

Intended for the average group exercise participant, using sports fitness drills and functional training, to develop footwork, anaerobic and aerobic conditioning, and muscular strength and power.

Course Objectives

The student will be able to:

  1. Understand the benefits of group exercise training techniques to develop anaerobic and aerobic conditioning
  2. Understand the difference between training muscles and training movements
  3. Develop and achieve six-week and 12-week fitness goals
  4. Execute drills with proper biomechanics
  5. Demonstrate the progressions and modifications for group fitness drills
