- Conduct pre_use inspections of fall protection equipment and identify defects or conditions requiring removal from service
Description
This course covers topics related to Competent Person training, which enables an employee to be responsible for the immediate supervision, implementation, and monitoring of a managed fall protection program.
Course Objectives
The student will be able to:
- Demonstrate the knowledge required to serve as a Competent Person for fall protection, including the ability to supervise, implement, and monitor a managed fall protection program.
- Recognize fall hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are in place.
- Act as a Competent Person in fall protection systems authorized by the company.
Course Content
- 5 hours training for Fall Protection Competent Person
- Roles and responsibilities of a Competent Person for fall protection
- Supervising and implementing a managed fall protection program
- Monitoring the effectiveness of fall protection systems
- Recognizing and assessing fall hazards
- Ensuring appropriate control measures are in place to prevent falls
- Qualifying to act as a Competent Person in fall protection systems
- 5 hours training for Fall Protection Competent Person Trainer
- Same topics as the above
