- Install barriers and negative pressure systems to contain dust/pathogens
- Monitor air pressure differentials to ensure containment integrity
- Adhere to hygiene protocols when entering or exiting sterile environments
Description
This course covers topics related to CEI's Infection Control Program, including identifying the construction activity, infection control risk group, and using the Construction Activity and Infection Control Matrix.
Course Objectives
The student will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of CEI's Infection Control Program, including how to identify construction activities and associated infection control risk groups.
- Apply the Construction Activity and Infection Control Matrix to assess risks and implement appropriate infection prevention measures.
- Prepare to support safe and compliant work practices in environments where infection control is required.

- Overview of CEI's Infection Control Program
- Identifying construction activities and their potential to impact infection risk
- Classification of infection control risk groups
- Use of the Construction Activity and Infection Control Matrix
- Determining required infection control measures
- Implementing and maintaining controls; documentation and compliance requirements
- Roles and responsibilities in infection control planning and execution
