Description
This course covers topics related to the proper selection and set up of different ladders, the hazards associated with ladder misuse, and safe ladders work practices.
Course Objectives
The student will be able to:
- Properly select and set up various types of ladders, identify common hazards associated with ladder misuse, and apply safe ladder work practices.
- Use ladders safely and in compliance with the company's safety standards and regulatory requirements.

- Proper selection of ladder types for specific tasks
- Ladder inspection procedures and criteria for safe use
- Correct ladder setup and positioning techniques
- Common hazards and risks associated with ladder misuse
- Safe climbing and descending practices
- Maintaining three points of contact
- Securing ladders to prevent movement
- Storage and maintenance of ladders
- Ladder safety policies and OSHA compliance requirements
