Description
This course covers topics related to pile driving operations and procedures, including safe hoisting of beams. Rigging training is limited to only the hoisting of beams.
Course Objectives
The student will be able to:
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of pile driving operations with a focus on safety procedures and best practices.
- Support pile driving activities safely and in accordance with the procedures and hoisting requirements.
Course Content
- Training on the safe hoisting of beams, with rigging instruction limited specifically to that task
- Communication and coordination during hoisting operations
- Identification of potential hazards and mitigation strategies
- CEI procedures and expectations for pile driving activities
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements; inspection and maintenance of hoisting equipment
