  • Locate and utilize reference materials associated with company standards, including Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), manufacturer installation instructions, test results, and approved submittals
  • Apply company standards in real-world scenarios to stay in compliance with requirements, safety protocols, and project specifications

Description

This course provides a review of how to access and use several CEI standards, including the transformer standard, quick pull standard, overhead MC and box standard (OHMCB), feeder cable ordering standard, CEI assembled wall rough standard, and the overall CEI installation standards.

Course Objectives

The student will be able to:

  1. Understand the CEI standards and when to use them.
  2. Use the CEI standards order forms (transformer, quick pull, overhead MC and box [OHMCB], feeder cable, etc.) to order material through the purchasing software.
  3. Understand the benefits and restrictions for each CEI standard.
  4. Access the reference material associated with each standard (SWIs, manufacturing installation instructions, test results, and approved submittals).

Course Content

  1. Step by step instructions on how to use the CEI standards
  2. Step by step instructions on how to order the CEI standards through the purchasing software
  3. Information on how field leaders can have prepopulated SWIs to set expectation for installation through proven lab installs
  4. Installation standards video durations for the following:
    1. 0.25 hour training on transformer
    2. 0.25 hour training on quick pull
    3. 0.15 hour training on overhead MC and box standard (OHMCB)
    4. 0.25 hour training on feeder cable ordering
    5. 0.15 hour training on quick wall rough
    6. 2.75 hours training on installation accessing

Not applicable.

Special Facilities and/or Equipment

1. When taught in-person, clean classroom with monitor and printed material for students to take as reference materials.
2. When taught online, this course requires access to CEI's Learning Management System (Amplify), ongoing access to a computer with the necessary software and hardware to view video content, and a reliable intranet connection.
