Description
This course provides a basic understanding of what is needed from a safety and productions aspect for doing underground installations. During the class, the student will gain an understanding of soil type, all safety requirements for state and federal requirements, and the OSHA standards for underground work.
Course Objectives
The student will be able to:

Understand the basic safety and earth work.

Understand grading, excavating, directional boaring, and penetrating objects into the earth.

Understand the OSHA guidelines and CEI policy for trenching and excavation.

Grade stake reading and effectively manage operators and spoils.
