Description

This course introduces safety core values and how workplace violence can manifest in a variety of ways. Students will learn how to identify workplace violence using specific criteria and the protocol steps to follow to maintain everyone's immediate and ongoing safety.

Course Objectives

The student will be able to:

  1. Identify what constitutes as workplace violence.
  2. Understand the process for the individual and anyone else involved.
  3. Follow the process per the situation.
  4. Communicate the instance.

Course Content

  1. Workplace Violence Policy.
  2. Different scenarios and examples of workplace violence.
  3. Role and obligation as a supervisor.
  4. Response and escalation procedures.
