- Identify the tools and equipment commonly used by CEI and their specific functions
- Demonstrate proper techniques and best practices for using each tool and piece of equipment safely
Description
This course prepares supervisors with the safety protocols and policies needed to train their journeymen and apprentices on prevention of common injuries. This training course also links to relevant safety manuals and policies.
Course Objectives
The student will be able to:
- Identify what tools and equipment have the most incidents and accidents and what the mitigations should be to avoid injuries.
- Apply safe and effective usage techniques.
Course Content
- Introduction to tools and equipment
- Overview of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Typical applications in company project
- Proper techniques and best practices
- Hazards and safety measures
- Common hazards for different types of tools
