Description
This course introduces the fundamentals of construction scheduling, beginning with a foundational understanding of schedule logic and key terminology.
Course Objectives
The student will be able to:
- Understand scheduling terminology, philosophy, and different schedule logic concepts.
- Develop a detailed task list and progress to creating and maintaining a short-duration schedule.
- Use their schedule as a communication tool and generate RFIs.
Course Content
- Basic schedule terminology and concepts of scheduling.
- Basic schedule management processes.
- Communication methods.
Lab Content
Hands-on exercise to create a short-duration schedule using a general contractor (GC) schedule and task list.

1. When taught in-person, clean classroom with monitor and printed material for students to take as reference materials.
2. When taught online, this course requires access to CEI's Learning Management System (Amplify), ongoing access to a computer with the necessary software and hardware to view video content, and a reliable intranet connection.
