Description

Second in the series of anatomy and physiology courses related to abdominal organs, with a focus on kidney, spleen, and small parts. Includes the thyroid, breast, and scrotum. A continuation of DMS 53A and the study of normal anatomy and pathological findings. Intended for students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; enrollment is limited to students accepted in the program.

  3. Describe the anatomy of the small parts (thyroid, breast, scrotum)
  4. Describe the physiology of the small parts (thyroid, breast, scrotum)
  5. Differentiate between normal anatomy versus pathological findings of the kidney and spleen
  6. Differentiate between normal anatomy versus pathological findings of the small parts (thyroid, breast, scrotum)
  7. Describe clinical symptoms related to normal and abnormal findings in the abdomen and small parts (thyroid, breast, scrotum)
